Jen's Daycare LLC provides a balanced approach to learning and socializing. You can be confident that your little one will have fun as he or she develops socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Jen's Daycare gives your child the tools to become confident and self-aware in a caring and stimulating in-home childcare setting

Jen's Daycare playroom is set up with interactive and creative toys that are safe for all ages. With toys that are designed to teach social skills, creative play, and basic phonics skills. Circle Time is done everyday. We talk about what day of the week it is, what we did yesterday, what we are going to do today, and what we are going to do tomorrow. We sing songs about the days of the weeks, the months, ABC's, we count to 20, we talk about the colors we are wearing and what colors we see. We learn with basic communication and singing songs. Jen's Daycare learning center We have a lot creative play with different manipulative textures like playdough, silly foam, and moon sand. At Jen's Daycare we enjoy art activities, coloring, painting, cutting and gluing. We have preschool curriculum for children 3 and up.

Jen's Daycare understands that learning comes from all kinds of fun and different places rather than just in books.  I believe learning is everything that happens throughout the day from interactions, sharing meals together to singing and playing. Jen's Daycare believes quality care really does make a difference in a child's life now and in the future. Teaching children life skills that go beyond reading, writing, and math. Playing with toys helps develop motor skills and teaches lessons about sharing with friends. Singing songs while doing daily activities brings out the joy of washing hands and cleaning up after yourself. The kids enjoy learning about days of the week, Months, shapes, colors, ABC's, Phonics, 123's, Arithmetic, Presidents, States, Sign Language in a fun musical way. We provide a balance between Free play and structured activities, between group and individual pursuits, and between teacher and child-directed experiences. Each child learns at different rates and in their own ways so we explore different kinds of learning approaches.

Outside playing is fun and gives the kids a break from being inside all the time with a different atmosphere to learn in. With free play with our water table the kids learn the science of water while keeping them safe. The swing set giving the kids the freedom to play on the toys they want while teaching taking turns and sharing. Also while outside we play in the sprinklers, make sculptures with moon sand, or draw with Chalk. The kids enjoy group activities like, running, hopping, throwing balls all in the safety of a fenced in yard.

I am licensed by the state of Indiana and am taking new applicants ages 14 months or older. I'm Paths to Quality level one and working on moving up to level three.  I have my CDA (Child Development Associate) with plans on getting my BA in Early childhood Education. I am certified in CPR, 1st Aid, and Universal Precautions. I have a yearly drug test for the state and a background check. I have attended state curriculum training for Indiana Foundations (the teaching standards for children ages 0-5 years old), and Back To Sleep Training concerning infant safe sleeping practices.

I understand how difficult it is to leave your little one with someone other than family. So finding someone you trust and are comfortable with is important. I do see this as a big responsibility but also privilege to be part of your child’s life.
